Goodbye Kansas

A fantastic little idea that came to be because of budgetary restraints, but just as impactful as anything larger scale could've achieved.

We got to work with lead scientists in the very narrow field of dung beatles to learn about their behavior, and even got a few samples of dead Beatles to scan.

All the close up dirt and twigs, were sampled from a hill behind the studio and scanned in order to get the resolution we needed to get this close up.

Starting out in music videos and commercials, I've refined my skills in crafting captivating narratives, telling stories through the visual medium, and found a love of working together with actors to help them deliver their best performances.

With a background in illustration and storyboarding, I naturally transitioned into directing game cinematics and full CGI animation, diving head first into it without a clue of what I was doing. Realizing that all narrative storytelling is the same, whatever format, I've since moved almost completely into the world of animation, where my innate sense for visual communication has served me more than well.

Collaborating with numerous leading game studios on trailers and in-game cinematics, I've helped them expand on their worlds, shaping narratives and adding authenticity, depth, and often – a touch of wit.

Driven by an obsession for pushing the limits of visual storytelling and a genuine passion for directing actors, my ultimate goal is to seamlessly bridge the gap between live-action and animation.
